10th March 2027 - Morning pickup from Kigali airport or hotel, stop off for a visit to the Genocide memorial centre, before driving to Virunga Volcanoes National Park

11th - 13th March 2027 - Each day after an early breakfast we will head to the National Park centre to get a briefing from our guides. We will then begin the trek which can last between 1 and 3 hours depending on the location of the group that we are allocated to visit for that particular day.  When we find the gorillas we will get 1 hour with them, which will be strictly controlled by Andy and the guides. We hope to arrive back at the hotel for a welcome lunch! The afternoons are at leisure; we can arrange a visit to a local craft centre or for an extra cost - canoeing!

14th March 2027 - On the morning of our departure day we will have a short trek to visit the Golden monkeys, before returning to our hotel to pack and have lunch. After lunch we will transfer to Kigali airport for the connection home.

Safari Extension - it’s very very very likely that we will run a 3 day safari extension after this in Kenya since we will have to fly through Nairobi anyway. This will be decided by the group once we are full but we did it for our 2025 treks and it worked great!!!
